Pastor John Burris - Senior Pastor of Chillicothe Baptist Church

John Burris is Pastor of Chillicothe Baptist Church in Chillicothe, Ohio. He has served in this capacity since September 1982. Our Pastor is a graduate of Carson-Newman College in Tennessee, The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Pastor Burris and his wife Jeannie have two sons and five grand children. Pastor Burris communicates with warmth and sincerity relating the Bible to everyday life.

   


Rev. Bill James - Minister of Education

Bill James joined the CBC staff full time in February 1998 as Minister of Education. Under his leadership our Sunday School has broken the 500 mark several times. Prior to joining CBC he served as a bi-vocational pastor planting churches in Southern Ohio. As time permits Bill does consulting for other churches in the area of discipleship, prayer, evangelism, worship, ministry, and fellowship. He has over twenty years of experience. He has a background in business management and advertising. His education includes University of Maryland, Moody Bible Institute, Boyce Bible School at Southern Baptist Seminary.


Rev. Tony Lambert - Minister of Children and Youth

Tony has lived in Ross County for over 30 years and is a graduate of Zane Trace High School and has a B.A. in Biblical Studies as well as a B.S. in Business Administration. Since he joined our staff in 2001 the youth have led over 850 people to the Lord. Tony has an awesome gift of being able to relate to our young people with caring and understanding and with his energetic approach he has truly set our youth group on fire for Christ.  Tony and his wife Trisha have a daughter and two sons.


Rev Steve HuffRev. Steve Huff - Minister of Music

Steve attended the University of Evansville where he achieved his bachelors in Music Education in 1976. He then went on to Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, KY, where he graduated in 1978 with a Master of Arts in Christian Education. CBC has been blessed to have Steve serve as our Minister of Music since 2000 where he has done an amazing job leading the Worship Choir, the praise team "Instruments of Praise", our annual special productions, as well as numerous other facets of our music ministry. Steve and his wife Glenna have two children: Amy and Andy.
