The goal of missions is to declare the good news that people can be rescued from the judgment through a relationship with Jesus Christ. At the same time, we are called to allow the world to observe our good works (1 Peter 2:12), so that they will ask us the reason for the hope that is in us (1 Peter 3:15). Our missions work is designed to both demonstrate the power of the gospel, as well as declare the message of the gospel.
We call this strategy: Reach Ross Ministries.
Here are some of our current local mission fields:
Prison Fellowship at Ross Correctional Institute
We send three teams of men into this facility each week to minister to the inmates. We teach a variety of biblically-based materials in our pre-release program. Our goal is to minister hope and the gospel of Jesus Christ to the men before they return to our communities.
In partnership with Prison Fellowship, we also minister to the prisoners’ families through Angel Tree.
Elizabeth’s Hope Pregnancy Resources
CBC members volunteer as mentors and teachers. We also contribute resources to EHPR on a monthly basis, as well as organize an annual baby bottle campaign.
We have a team of members who volunteer at a local school to bless the teachers, and to work as tutors to the children.
Valley View Care Facility
Each month our members minister at the Valley View Care Facility for Alzheimer’s patients, to bless the residents and encourage the families of the residents.
